Systems Engineer – Hardware Integration

About the role

Four Sea Group is seeking a Systems Engineer focused on hardware integration to support the design, configuration, deployment, and verification of mission hardware systems. This early-career engineering role contributes to Four Sea Group’s ability to deliver dependable fielded capabilities by helping ensure that hardware is correctly configured, integrated, documented, tested, and prepared for deployment.

Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional program teams, this individual will develop practical experience across hardware design, compute infrastructure, system integration, testing, and field deployment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical curiosity, hands-on aptitude, attention to detail, and the willingness to work in both engineering and field environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with relevant academic, internship, or professional experience; candidates with approximately two or more years of relevant experience are preferred for the higher end of the role.
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance at the time of application.
• Hands-on experience or demonstrated knowledge related to hardware design and integration.
• Understanding of how changing requirements can affect hardware design and system configuration.
• Familiarity with antenna, power, RF, fiber, or related electrical signal principles and applications.
• Ability to support hardware drawings, equipment configuration, compute-equipment integration, and physical hardware deployment activities.
• Ability to participate in system-level testing and verification and document technical results accurately.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support modifications to hardware configurations to improve system reliability and performance.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform work from elevated positions above eight feet.
• Ability to perform field work in austere weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required for installation and deployment activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with system architectures and associated hardware components.
• Knowledge of electronic components used in communication systems.
• Experience performing hardware integration, system checkout, or verification activities.
• Experience finalizing or updating technical drawings and design documentation.
• Experience with rack-and-stack activities and integration of compute equipment into deployable environments.
• Familiarity with power, cooling, site construction, or field-installation activities.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering or field-support environment.

Salary: The salary range for this role is $77,000- $119,500 per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Four Sea Group, Inc. considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, key skills, and market conditions.
