Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

  • Plan and deliver the school-approved curriculum effectively and on schedule.
  • Develop instructional materials, teaching aids, and activities to enhance student learning.
  • Grade students work and maintain an updated gradebook on a weekly basis.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support individual student growth.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Plan and attend parent-teacher conferences at least once per year.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum, instructional strategies, and school programs.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

Student Support & Behavior Management

  • Supervise students before school, after school, and during lunch periods.
  • Write behavior referrals as necessary to maintain a safe and productive classroom environment.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture of respect, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Communicate with the office and other staff members about student needs.

Professional Development

  • Attend mandatory training, professional development sessions, meetings, and afterschool activities.
  • Actively participate in professional growth opportunities and complete assigned tasks.
  • Attend "Meet the Teacher" events with your grade-level team.

School Involvement

  • Participate in a minimum of four afterschool events per year.
  • Support school initiatives, extracurricular activities, and special projects.
  • Administer and/or proctor benchmark and state assessments.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the school and its scholars.

Professionalism

  • Demonstrate professionalism in dress, speech, and actions.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Qualifications

  • Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject or grade level.
