Team Lead AI & Innovation for Engineering & Operations (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the AI & Innovation team by building organizational capabilities, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement, and supporting the growth and development of team members
• Drive AI and digital innovation by identifying high-value opportunities for AI, automation, and digitalization, evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends, and translating business needs into impactful AI initiatives and use cases that improve productivity, efficiency, and business performance
• Lead the adoption of AI solutions across Engineering and Operations, promoting the reuse of AI components and platforms, and maximizing business value through sustainable adoption
• Advance engineering automation and digital transformation by identifying automation opportunities, implementing AI-enabled workflows, and leveraging intelligent tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency
• Ensure strategic alignment of AI initiatives by aligning engineering automation, digitalization, and CAx activities with the broader AI strategy and organizational objectives

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Digital Transformation, or a related technology field
• Experience leading AI, innovation, automation, or digital transformation initiatives from concept through successful business adoption
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments, collaborating with business stakeholders, IT organizations, and external partners
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
• Deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI, including agentic AI architectures, machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and data-driven application development
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and AI platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including AI services, cloud-native architectures, and scalable enterprise deployments
• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), agent frameworks, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol (MCP), vector databases, and process automation platforms
• Ability to identify high-value business opportunities and translate business challenges into AI, automation, and digital innovation initiatives with measurable outcomes
• A passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a strong interest in emerging technologies and their practical application to improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness
