Team Leader

Purpose of the role

The candidate for the team leader role will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the project by coordinating multidisciplinary teams, engaging stakeholders, ensuring quality delivery of project activities, and driving successful implementation of financial inclusion and women's economic empowerment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project implementation while providing overall technical and administrative leadership.

• Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely delivery of project outputs in line with project objectives and timelines.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government institutions, development partners, and key stakeholders.

• Provide technical oversight on VSLA/CMG, financial inclusion, and women's economic empowerment interventions.

• Monitor project performance, manage risks, ensure quality assurance, and oversee reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years' experience managing large-scale development programmes.

• Proven experience in VSLA/CMG, financial inclusion, or women's economic empowerment programmes.

• Experience working with Tanzanian Government programmes, preferably in rural settings.

• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
