AI Summary

Supports the Height Safety Pre-Construction team by preparing surveys, designs, specifications, and tenders, and maintaining technical documentation and trackers.

About this role

Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are only getting bigger and stronger — and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there.

We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident can sleep safely at night, knowing their home is 100% safe.

We are looking for a Technical Administrator to support our Height Safety Pre-Construction team, based from either our London or Yeovil office. You will provide the technical and administrative backbone that keeps the height safety pre-construction function running smoothly — supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, specifications, and tenders, and ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and client-ready.

This is a detail-focused, technically engaged role that sits at the intersection of administration and height safety expertise. If you are organised, technically minded, and want to be part of a team genuinely committed to keeping people safe at height — read on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Height Safety Pre-Construction team with the preparation of survey reports, design documentation, specifications, and tender submissions — ensuring all outputs are accurate, well-presented, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain and manage the height safety pre-construction tracker, ensuring all live enquiries, surveys, designs, and submissions are accurately recorded and up to date.
  • Assist with the preparation and issue of technical documents including risk assessments, method statements, design drawings, and O&M manuals.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to coordinate information required for surveys, designs, and tenders.
  • Support the coordination of site surveys — booking appointments, confirming access, and circulating relevant information to the team ahead of visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all survey data, design outputs, and certification documentation across the height safety portfolio.
  • Assist with the preparation of handover packs for won projects, ensuring pre construction information is transferred clearly and completely to the delivery team.
  • Keep abreast of relevant height safety standards and guidance, supporting the team in ensuring all documentation meets current requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pre-construction administration processes, templates, and documentation standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
  • Experience in a technical administration or pre-construction support role, ideally within height safety, fall protection, or a closely related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of height safety systems — including horizontal lifelines, anchor points, fall arrest, and rope access — and the standards that govern them.
  • Strong attention to detail — accurate and thorough in documentation, data entry, and report preparation.
  • Highly organised — able to manage multiple live workstreams and deadlines without dropping the ball.
  • Clear and professional communicator — comfortable liaising with clients, consultants, and internal colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 — particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Comfortable working across both London and Yeovil offices as required.
  • IRATA, IPAF, PASMA, or equivalent height safety qualification (preferable).

Benefits

This is a chance to play a key role in the height safety pre-construction function at one of the UK’s fastest-growing fire and height safety specialists — supporting a growing team, working on technically interesting projects, and developing your expertise in a sector where the work genuinely matters. At Harmony, we ask a lot — and we give a lot back. The hours are real, the standards are high and the work is demanding, but for those who show up, deliver and go the extra mile, the rewards follow. A-players here enjoy a competitive salary, a Personal Development Plan with ongoing training and mentoring, unlimited holiday, a bonus scheme paying up to 50% of annual salary, enhanced maternity and paternity, lunch, snacks and refreshments on us every day (fresh fruit and Takeaway Friday included), a team social budget, cycle to work, an auto-enrolment pension, two major company events a year and our Reward and Recognition scheme — including European mini-breaks for those who go above and beyond. It is a collaborative, high-energy environment focused on doing things the right way — and none of it is a perk for showing up; it’s what we share with the people pulling the business forward.

Harmony is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all applicants for employment regardless of age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief. We want everyone who works with us to feel valued and to make a difference.
