Technical Service Representative - Commercial Lines

Purpose:

We are currently hiring for a Technical Service Representative - Commercial Lines (TSR-CL) for our Ostic Group brokerages. In this role, you will provide excellent back-end and processing support to the commercial lines team ensuring a high-quality, consistent experience for the brokers and clients. You will use a first-time right-time approach to confirm that all the necessary information is obtained, validated, recorded in the system and maintained for each client file.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Commercial Lines team and Manager by handling non-client-facing policy administration functions.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EPIC Broker Management System.
• Issuing Certificates of Insurance.
• Reviewing policy documents ensuring accuracy including renewals, endorsements, payment plans etc.
• Entering all assigned new business in carrier portals.
• Invoicing & preparation of finance contracts.
• Proactively follow up with clients, brokers, and insurance company partners regarding outstanding payments, missing documentation, and information required to process policy transactions.
• Supporting Account Managers with driver approvals, including obtaining and verifying Letters of Experience; obtaining and verifying Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs).
• Document organization, attachment to files, labelling.
• Data entry and preparation of applications.
• Facilitate client file or broker management clean-up projects.
• Assisting in pulling or reviewing reports.
• Provide additional support to the broker team (e.g. letters, pink slips, etc.).
• Attend CL Team meetings and functions.
• Stay informed about carrier offerings, product updates, and procedural changes to provide accurate information and support.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in an office administration role.
• Previous experience working in a brokerage supporting commercial lines brokers.
• RIBO licensed or willing to obtain it is an asset.
• Prior working experience with Applied Epic (BMS) is an asset.
