The Net America Corporation is a Woman-owned firm specializing in Multi-Channel Contact Centers & Help Desk Services, IT/Software Engineering & Development, Organizational & Program Management, Peer Review & Grants Management and Conference & Logistics Support.

The net.AMERICA Corporation is seeking a Technical Writer to edit and assist in the development and writing of technical documentation. The role involves technical editing, basic PMO skills and expert knowledge of MS PowerPoint. The person in this role will work with the client to develop Standard Operating Procedures, document processes and develop PowerPoint presentations for Executive leadership briefings. This person must possess consulting and analytic skills to determine requirements for documentation and briefings. Person must be willing to work alone and within groups as well as with senior client staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Job Duty 1 with % of time -Performing quality assurance activities on documents – 40%

• Job Duty 2 with % of time -Technical editing of project deliverables. Must be proficient at both writing and editing of project documents - 60%

Required Skills:

• Must be a “super user” of MS Word– must have the ability to create document templates and de-bug MS Word issues. – 3yrs

• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and specifically PowerPoint. – 3yrs

• Must be able to identify and transform thoughts and ideas into graphic representations. - 2 years

• Must have knowledge of the use of style guides and templates.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IT industry terminology and methodology.

• Knowledge of consulting techniques and requirements analysis.

Location: Reston, VA and Bluemont, Va (2-3 days/week)

Duration: May 14th to December 14, 2016
