The Technician repairs Caterpillar and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines.

Wages

The Technician's starting wage will depend on experience and education. $33.80 - $42.54

Responsibilities

The Rental Technician essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform equipment overhauls and refurbishments for resale purposes.
• Assist with rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.
• Inspect equipment using the Cat Inspect App.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services, 90-day BIT inspections, and ANSI inspections.
• Perform Pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on New Allied Equipment to be facilitate for distribution across all stores.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures.
• Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Operate equipment and perform functional tests to ensure proper operation.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of all rental equipment.
• Adhere to directions from the manager and lead mechanic regarding repairs and directions.
• Accurately complete all documentation related to repairs in a timely manner.
• Be available to work overtime when needed.
• Perform other work-related duties as directed or assigned.

Qualifications

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Two to four years mechanical experience or equivalent education and experience.
