Hugh Baird College have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Technician to join our professional construction and trades department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of construction professionals by supporting both staff and students in a hands-on learning environment.
You will provide technical support to staff and students, supervise and demonstrate processes and equipment use, and issue and maintain equipment and resources within our departments.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of construction workshops.
- Support lecturers and students with equipment, demonstrations, and practical tasks.
- Maintain and manage tools, materials, and resources.
- Promote health and safety and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
- Participate in open evenings, taster days, and other promotional events.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A minimum of a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety in workshop settings.
- Experience with construction equipment in an educational or training environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
