role in supporting the Transportation Department by managing and improving the technology systems that keep our operations moving.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Move Technology Forward: Support technology projects from research and planning through implementation and
deployment.
• Keep Systems Running: Maintain, repair, and upgrade computers, software, hardware, and operating systems for local and remote users.
• Provide Tech Support & Training: Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, VPN, and VoIP issues, and deliver clear, effective technology training.
• Manage Technology Assets: Purchase, inventory, and track equipment while documenting support and repair history.
• Support Daily Operations: Perform routine system checks and updates and serve as a key liaison between staff and management on technology needs.
SKILLS TO WOW US:
• You’re tech-savvy: You understand computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• You know your networks: You’re comfortable with TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and Active Directory.
• You manage systems with confidence: You have experience with Windows Server/Desktop OS, VoIP, and virtualized environments.
• You’re organized and proactive: You’re a self-starter with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• You work well independently and with others: You collaborate effectively while managing your own responsibilities.
• You communicate professionally: You interact clearly and courteously with staff, contractors, and participants.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum: Associate degree in Computer Science with two (2) years of related IT experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Preferred: A+ Certification and other relevant industry certifications.
