TELEMATICS SYSTEM LEAD

FMC is searching for talented, self-motivated logistics professionals to work in a free-thinking culture creating the next gen premium entry EVs with the highest autonomous technologies at our Santa Clara, CA facility.

Lead the definition, development and optimization of a truly innovative next generation telematics embedded system.

2.Lead the integration of the system in the vehicle.

3.Deliver outstanding requirements, system definition, implementation, testing and debugging strategy

4.Lead a team of engineers, both in-house and at the suppliers to deliver innovative technical solutions within required cost, quality and time targets

5.Create guidelines and procedures to avoid known problems

6.Have a strong focus on reliability and only deliver optimized features

7.Manage the relationship with other teams dealing with connected components to ensure smooth integration and constantly align connectivity topics with the in car development

8.Manage the upgradability and scalability of the system

9.Manage the localization in the different markets (China, US, Europe)

10.Stay on top of technology innovation in the connectivity field and design future solutions

Qualifications

• Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 7 years of experience in the automotive industry
• At least 5 years of experience on connected car and telematics projects
• Experience in telematics systems hardware and software architectures
• Experience in vehicle EE architecture and embedded networks
• Experience in GNSS, Automotive Wifi, Bluetooth oriented developments
• Experience in eCall
• Strong specifications record
• Project and team management skills
• Strong motivation for technology oriented products
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary team across different time zones

APPRECIATED OTHERS SKILLS

• Other languages (Chinese, German, French…)
• Automotive Linux
• Experience in AGILE, SCRUM
• Experience in antennas systems
• Experience with Mobile Networks Operators
• Experience in Automotive Ethernet
• Experience in NB IoT, V2X
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, OTA SW update services
