Telemetry Maintenance Technician Professional - Ascension Island

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating,maintaining, calibrating, and repairing equipment associated with a Telemetry Ground Station to include measurement/tracking, multiplexing, amplification, signal conditioning, multicouplers, acquisition, RF transmitters/receivers, PCM encoders/decoders, and parabolic antenna systems.

• Provide technical support in matters related to computer hardware, software, networking, and maintenance for site telemetry systems and related equipment and operations

• Integrate hardware and software applications for operational and maintenance applications

• Perform routine launch operational checks and functions based on standard operating procedures

• Generate/prepare test documentation,maintainsrecords, maintenancelogsand schedules

• Interpret audits/findings,identifiesmaintenance issues and works with management todeterminebest course of action

• Support company safety culture and assumes accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all activities

• Complete assigned training andassistwith the training of others to ensureoptimalavailability of qualified personnel for daily operations, maintenance, and launch support

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Develop andmaintainprocedures and work instructionsin accordance withapplicable Performance Work Statement (PWS) and CDRL requirements

MinimumRequirements:

• AS Degree in Electronic Technology, or two-year technical school, equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 3+ years as an electronic technician with experience related to the systems, subsystems and operationsrequiredtomaintainTelemetry (preferred), Radar, or Radio Communication systems.

• Electronics background and knowledge of network/server operating systems and PC platforms

• Experience using electrical/electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signalgeneratorsand logic analyzers

• Experience with troubleshooting including the ability to isolate and repair electronic hardware and associated support equipment

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word,Exceland PowerPoint

• Experience working with high-poweredtransmitters,radio-frequency/infrared (RF/IF) receivers, microwave subsystems and control systems, preferred

• Experience working with large scale antenna servo tracking mount technology, preferred

• Understanding of telemetry principles and practices, preferred

• Experience working with property control,logisticsand quality standards, preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Frequently move, transport, install and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

• Frequently ascend/descend, and traverses, work areas at heights of approximately 20 feet or more

• Ability to drive manual transmission

• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements

• Must be able to obtain andmaintaina DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License

• Valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one within60 daysof hire
