Test Technician

Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Additive Manufacturing and Engineering Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Additive Manufacturing and Engineering Technician position performs a diverse range of manufacturing, engineering, heat-treatment, testing, and laboratory activities within the department and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Salary: $28- $34/hr DOE

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration audits by reviewing calibration documentation and verifying that records and information are accurate, complete, and properly documented.• Operate heat-treating furnaces and support heat-treatment processes according to established procedures.• Support engineering projects.• Create, modify, and interpret 3D CAD models for engineering and manufacturing applications.• Operate and support 3D printing and additive manufacturing equipment.• Support Direct Energy Deposition (DED) and other advanced manufacturing processes.• Work independently while collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other members within and external to the organization.

Skills / Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety• HS diploma or equivalent desired; additional technical education, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or relevant training is a plus• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related field• Basic understanding of testing concepts• Ability to read and interpret technical information, drawings, and procedures

Physical Demands:

• Frequence of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time• Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
