What You’ll Do:
The Therapy Supervisor is responsible for developing and supervising to therapeutic activity programs with the goal of meeting the individualized therapy needs of participants served. This position also supervises the therapy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervises and oversees the clinical and administrative functioning of the Therapy Services department.
- Manages the therapy program.
- Provides input and recommendations to the Center Manager for the annual budget process related to staffing, supplies, and capital purchases.
- Assists with policy and procedure solutions to develop best practices for Therapy Services.
- Orients new staff to the PACE model and CMS and MDHHS regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with PACE guidelines.
- Provides training and education to all involved in participant treatment plans.
- Conducts initial and periodic assessments.
- Identifies and develops specific plans of care, sets goals, and provides treatment.
- Reviews assessments and discharges participants when appropriate.
- Participates in the enrollment process, including care planning.
- Documents in participants’ medical records as required by policy.
- Participates in care conferences when necessary.
- Assesses the need for adaptive and/or durable medical equipment, specialized shoes, and prostheses, and makes recommendations to the IDT.
- Assesses the need for therapy services provided at the Center and makes recommendations to the IDT.
- Initiates home modification requests indicated by the IDT.
- Completes home visits when appropriate or directed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Must be a licensed therapist in the State of Michigan.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical or Occupational Therapy Program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a PT or OT.
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Speech and Language Pathology experience preferred.
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification.
- Valid MI Driver’s License.
