About the Programme

The UKRAINE2EU Integration Support Programme for Ukraine is implemented in Ukraine by the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA), Lithuania. The overall objective of Ukraine2EU is to support Ukraine’s progressive alignment with the EU acquis and its overall EU integration efforts toward future EU membership. The initiative aims to build strong, efficient state mechanisms for managing Ukraine's EU accession process and implementing related reforms.

Role Overview

The Translator plays an essential role in ensuring the continuous daily maintenance of the English version of the EU Integration Portal as a reliable information platform on Ukraine’s EU accession. The selected expert will work full-time, be based in Kyiv, and be seconded to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

● Translating news, press releases, analytical materials, and explanatory content from Ukrainian into English.

● Ensuring consistency of EU accession terminology and institutional language.

● Adapting content for international audiences and stakeholders.

● Maintaining and updating the English-language version of the Portal.

● Supporting translation of key EU accession-related documents and communication materials.

Expected output:

● Timely and accurate translation of all priority Portal content.

● Continuous maintenance and updates of the English-language Portal.

● Enhanced accessibility of information on Ukraine’s EU accession process for international audiences.

Requirements

● University degree in Translation, Philology, Linguistics, International Relations, or a related field.

● Proficiency in Ukrainian and English (written).

● Strong skills in translating high-level political, legal, social and economic texts.

● Deep understanding of EU-specific terminology.

● Strong writing skills and the ability to manage many daily written outputs.

Participation in thematic EU programmes or/and internships will be an advantage.

What we offer

Contract type | Service contract for 12 months with extension possibility until the end of the Programme.
