As a Traveling Carpenter Apprentice you will be responsible for assisting experienced carpenters in performing formwork and carpentry duties during the tank construction process. This role offers structured learning and hands-on experience in concrete forming systems and structural carpentry. You must also be able to travel nationwide and demonstrate a commitment to mastering trade-specific skills while upholding DN Tanks’ safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists skilled carpenters with constructing, setting, and stripping formwork used in tank construction.
  • Learns and applies proper techniques for measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials.
  • Travels to job sites throughout the U.S. to support active construction projects.
  • Participates in DN Tanks Safety Program and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Helps maintain tools, materials, and workspaces in an orderly and hazard-free condition.
  • Develops an understanding of formwork drawings, tolerances, and construction manuals.
  • Supports the installation and removal of shoring, framework, and scaffolding.
  • Establishes and tracks DN University training goals with support from the Field Operations Manager.
  • Takes initiative to identify hazards and incorporate safety planning into daily tasks.
  • Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel extensively to job sites across the U.S.
  • Owns and maintains general hand tools.
  • Physically able to climb, lift, bend, and perform labor-intensive tasks at heights or on uneven terrain.
  • Capable of wearing all required PPE (e.g., steel-toed boots, hardhat, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
