Traveling Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator

Location: Colorado Springs MarketSchedule: Full-Time, Monday–FridayPay: $20–$27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What You’ll Do

As a Traveling Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in helping patients understand their orthodontic treatment options and guiding them through the process from consultation to treatment start. You’ll travel between orthodontic locations throughout the Colorado Springs market, supporting teams and ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience at every visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meet with new and existing patients to discuss orthodontic treatment options and recommendations

• Educate patients and families about orthodontic treatment, including traditional braces and clear aligners

• Clearly explain treatment plans, estimated timelines, fees, financing options, and next steps

• Build strong relationships with patients and families and help them feel comfortable and confident moving forward with treatment

• Help convert orthodontic consultations into treatment starts through excellent communication, education, and follow-up

• Follow up with patients who have not yet scheduled or started treatment

• Assist with presenting treatment plans and coordinating appointments

• Answer patient questions regarding treatment, financial options, insurance benefits, and scheduling

• Verify dental insurance benefits and assist patients in understanding their orthodontic coverage

• Coordinate with insurance companies when necessary to help ensure accurate benefit information

• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment information

• Work closely with orthodontists and clinical team members to ensure patients understand their recommended treatment

• Partner with front office teams to create a smooth and consistent patient experience

• Help identify opportunities to improve patient communication, scheduling, consultations, and treatment acceptance

• Build positive relationships with referring dental offices and help support referral relationships when needed

• Assist with community outreach and other activities designed to generate new patient opportunities

• Travel between assigned orthodontic locations based on practice needs

• Adapt to different office environments and work collaboratively with doctors and team members at each location

• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused presence in every office

What You Bring

Required experience and skills:

• Previous experience in a dental, orthodontic, or healthcare setting

• Experience as a Treatment Coordinator, Patient Coordinator, Dental Assistant, Dental Front Office Coordinator, or similar role preferred

• Strong understanding of dental insurance verification and benefits

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable discussing treatment plans, fees, financing, and insurance with patients

• Ability to confidently educate patients about orthodontic treatment options

• Understanding of orthodontic treatment, including clear aligners and traditional braces

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, parents, doctors, and dental teams

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient information

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with doctors and office teams

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple patient conversations and follow-ups

• Professional, friendly, and confident demeanor

• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned Colorado Springs market

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations as needed

Essential Functions

Work Environment

This role is based in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

• The position may require occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity throughout the workday.

Education and Experience

• A college degree in business or a related field is preferred, along with at least one year of business or managerial experience.

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
