Treasury & Cash Management Accountant

Job Overview

NAFFCO is looking for a Cash Management / Treasury Accountant with a strong accounting background and practical experience in cash management, treasury operations, bank reconciliations, and banking transactions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience beyond general accounting activities, with the ability to manage high volumes of financial data, investigate reconciliation differences, and ensure accurate and timely accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding or reconciling items.

• Handle cash management and daily banking activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

• Process and account for bank transactions, fund transfers, payments, and related accounting entries.

• Monitor cash movements and maintain accurate records of banking activities.

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records related to cash and treasury transactions.

• Support month-end closing activities and ensure all relevant accounting entries are complete and up to date.

• Review financial data and identify discrepancies, variances, and reconciliation issues.

• Ensure accounting entries are properly recorded and supported by relevant documentation.

• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports and statements.

• Work closely with internal departments and banks to resolve payment, transfer, and reconciliation-related issues.

• Handle large volumes of financial data while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Utilize Oracle ERP finance/accounting modules for transaction processing and financial reporting.

• Prepare reports and perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Relevant professional experience in Accounting, Cash Management, Treasury, or Banking Operations.

• Strong practical experience in bank reconciliations and cash management is essential.

• Good understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and financial statements.

• Hands-on experience with bank transactions, payments, transfers, and related accounting activities.

• Experience working with Oracle ERP, particularly Finance/Accounting modules.

• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work accurately with large volumes of financial data.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Experience supporting month-end closing and financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates with a strong accounting foundation combined with practical Cash Management/Treasury experience will be preferred. Candidates whose experience is limited primarily to general accounting activities without hands-on exposure to cash management, banking, or reconciliations may not be suitable for this position.
