- Reports to: Sr. Underwriter
- Travel: 0-10%
- Salary: $22.00/hr.
- Location: Chicago, IL, In-office

Role responsibilities
- Partner with underwriters to review insurance submissions and understand what makes a risk a good fit.
- Learn the fundamentals of risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting strategy through real examples and team discussions.
- Help organize underwriting information, update records, and keep key details accurate and easy to access.
- Research industry trends, emerging risks, and market insights, then summarize findings for the team.
- Contribute to team projects, meetings, and day-to-day coordination while building confidence in a professional business environment.
Key requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Risk
- Management, Business Administration, or a related field (graduating between December 2027 and May 2028)
- Majoring in risk management, business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of insurance principles is a plus
