Position: Post‑Doctoral Research Fellow – R&D

Location: Mumbai or Bangalore

Duration: 12 months (extendable up to 18 months based on project needs)

Stipend: ₹90,000 per month

About the Program:

The Unilever Post‑Doctoral Fellowship Program offers an immersive, structured research opportunity for early‑career researchers to work on high‑impact, applied research challenges within Unilever R&D. The program is designed to bridge academic excellence with real‑world FMCG innovation, enabling fellows to contribute directly to Unilever’s science and innovation roadmap.

Fellows will work on cutting‑edge research problems, translating scientific concepts into scalable, consumer‑relevant solutions, while gaining deep exposure to industrial R&D practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

• PhD in Science/Engineering from Indian or global institutes
• PhD completed within the last 3 years
• Post‑doctoral experience: 0–3 years maximum

  - Chemistry (Organic/Synthetic/ Physical Chemistry/Chemistry)
  - Pharma
  - Microbiology/Cell Biology/Neurobiology
  - Food technology
  - Computational Chemistry
  - Graphic Design
  - Data Analytics, Data Science, AI/ML, Molecular Modelling
• Areas of research: Across nutrition science, color cosmetics, role of skin microbiome diversity, correlation of microbial signatures with skin properties, AI polymer discovery, Suspension & Deposition, Process design for solid cleaning products.
  Crosstalk between skin cells and sensory neurons, Predictive modelling, Development of AI applications for Computational Biology/Molecular Modelling, and more.
