Urban Outfitters is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to support the brand design team in the execution of day-to-day creative needs. - Support the design and production of creative assets across digital and print, including web, app, email, social, signage, printed collateral, and other marketing materials.
- Assist with day-to-day web and app updates, including banners, imagery modules, promotional assets, and other routine content updates while maintaining brand consistency.
- Prepare production-ready digital and print files, learning best practices for file setup, sizing, resolution, color modes, bleeds, and other basic print-production requirements.
- Receive and apply feedback from designers and art directors to strengthen design craft, technical skills, and understanding of brand standards.
- Participate in brainstorms, moodboarding, and creative reviews, contributing ideas and visual references to seasonal and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with the creation and adaptation of artwork, layouts, textures, and existing creative across various formats and placements.
- Maintain clean, organized working files, follow established naming conventions, and properly archive final assets for team access and future use.
- Demonstrate curiosity, reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn while developing an understanding of the creative process from concept through final production.
Role Qualifications
- Actively pursuing or recently completed a degree in graphic arts, visual studies, or a related creative discipline.
- Strong visual thinking and a sharp design sensibility, with the ability to execute across multiple formats and channels.
- Understanding of core design principles—typography, composition, color theory, and responsive design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, etc).
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Basic animation or motion design skills (After Effects, etc.)
- Meticulous attention to detail in file setup, naming conventions, and server archiving practices.
- Awareness of current design and fashion trends, with the ability to translate them into brand-relevant visuals.
- Positive and proactive communication skills with an appetite for collaborating within a high-energy team environment.
- Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
- Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Urban Outfitters customer in Fall 2027.
- Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!
