We're now looking for a proactive and talented UX Designer to join us on a contract basis, to work on an exciting digital transformation project.

You'll be working in a multidisciplinary agile team to deliver a world-class, user-centred service in a truly collaborative environment.
Candidates who have previous experience of working to Government Digital Services guidelines (GDS) will have a distinct advantage.
UX Designer - Responsibilities
- Understand user needs
- Create and rapidly iterate service prototypes
- Arrange these separate interactions into rational user journeys within that service
- Understand the existing supporting system of a service and design targeted improvements
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement within the proposed service
UX Designer - Skills and experience
- Know how to interpret user research
- Be able to work in an Agile environment
- Engage the whole multidisciplinary team with the design process
- Lead a workshop
- Exposure with Heroku (Desirable)
- Be able to sketch and prototype on paper and in HTML
- Be able to explain ideas in a way that other people understand
- Welcome the constructive criticism of their work and be able to constructively review the work of others
- Understand how form and function work together
- Know how to remove complexity from services
- Collaborate on designs with a developer
- Work at pace
- Experience of the public sector (nice to have)
- Having knowledge of GDS guidelines will be an advantage (nice to have)

Duration: 6 months (outside IR35)
Rate: £450 per day
