Vehicle Technician

We are looking for a talented Vehicle Technician to join our Volvo Cars dealership in Poole.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play an important role in upholding Volvo’s long-standing reputation for building some of the safest vehicles on the road. You’ll carry out pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing and maintenance on Volvos, completing accurate job records and following recognised brand, warranty, health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is prepared and returned to customers safely and to Volvo’s quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, communicating issues back to the workshop controller and completing additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors

• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment, following Brand guidelines

• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines

• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies

• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards

• Ensure vehicles comply with industry safety standards when returned to the customer and any faults been reported and noted on the job cards

What you will need to be a Vehicle Technician at Volvo Cars:

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (Main dealer experience would be an advantage)

• Strong mechanical knowledge and skilled within servicing and repair work

• A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment

• Professional with a customer focused approach

• You must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent

• Full UK driving licence

Hours of work will be:

42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm / 1 in 4 Saturdays (Paid overtime)

A uniform will be provided
