AI Summary

Provides small animal veterinary care in a clinic setting, consulting on companion animal medicine and performing clinical procedures.

About this role

Fraser Coast is calling!

Love where you work. Love where you live.

Fraser Coast Veterinary Services is a long-standing, trusted small animal practice with the main clinic in Maryborough and a smaller branch clinic in Howard, which is open for consulting two days a week. Work solely in Maryborough or split your time between both.

You will enjoy:

  • A supportive, down-to-earth clinic
  • An experienced team that genuinely enjoys coming to work
  • Leadership that listens, welcome new ideas, and prioritises your wellbeing.

Flexibility that works for real life.

Choose full-time or part-time roles to suit your life outside of work, including around family commitments. A consulting-only role is also available for vets who prefer to focus on consults. There are no after hours (unless you want them) and only one Saturday morning a month.

Room to grow.

Being a couple of hours from the nearest referral hospitals, you'll have real opportunities to put your emergency skills to work and take on challenging cases that might be referred elsewhere in a city clinic- but rest assured, you won't be doing it alone.

Further professional development and areas of interest are supported, particularly in orthopaedics.

Live where others holiday.

The Fraser Coast offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle with beaches, whale watching and easy access to K'gari (Fraser Island), plus a strong sense of community. It's a great place to raise a family, with a lower cost of living than the big cities and plenty of space to enjoy it. Maryborough is just three hours from Brisbane, so you get regional living without giving up professional opportunities.

About you.

  • 2-3 years' experience in small animal practice
  • A passion for high-quality companion animal medicine
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and building relationships with clients
  • Open to new ideas and keen to keep learning

What's on offer.

  • Generous renumeration plus super
  • Bonus incentive program
  • Relocation support of up to $10,000, and visa sponsorship for eligible applicants
  • Full-time, part-time or consult-only flexibility
  • Strong clinical support, collaboration and mentorship
  • Continuing professional development support and conference leave
  • Paid Veterinary Board registration, plus membership and professional subscription fund
  • Paid parental leave
  • Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing support
  • Staff discounts for your own pets, plus retail, travel, health and lifestyle discounts
