Position Overview

The Study Investigator manages, oversees and takes responsibility for assigned study activities while serving as Study Director, Investigator and/or senior study support lead, as appointed by Test Facility Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Study Director or Investigator on assigned studies as appointed by Test Facility Management and within the limits of training, qualification, experience, and delegated authority.
  • Draft, compile, submit, and respond to research approval applications for IACUC, IBC, and other applicable review bodies.
  • Manage and oversee assigned study phases outsourced to approved external laboratories, consultants, vendors, or service providers.
  • Monitor study progress, resource needs, documentation status, study risks, and operational issues, and escalate concerns appropriately.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with at least 2 years’ research experience; or
  • Degree in Natural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field with 3–5 years’ research experience; or
  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology/Medicine, Animal Health, Laboratory Animal Science, or a closely related field with 3–5 years’ research experience; or
  • At least 15 years’ relevant research experience where the formal qualification is not directly related to the discipline.

Skills & Competencies

  • Perform duties according to applicable quality guidelines.
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable federal, New York State, local, legislative, regulatory, contractual, client, sponsor, and company requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, ethical conduct, professional behavior, and work outputs consistent with company and departmental standards.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, noise)
  • Ability to perform duties in physically demanding and occasionally high-stress environments

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000 - $125,000 / year
