The Vice President - Facilities is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of all Facilities functions across global sites. This role drives business success through efficient, compliant, and cost-effective facility management while ensuring facilities capacity supports both current and future operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the Facilities, Security, and EHS teams, coordinating and directing all related activities across global locations.
  • Develop and execute facilities strategies, policies, standards, and operating procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide strategic leadership for capital construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects, including budget planning, project prioritization, design oversight, implementation, and project governance.
  • Direct Facilities Project Managers and ensure successful execution of capital projects in alignment with business objectives, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Establish and enforce global Facilities and Security policies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, regulatory, environmental, health, safety, and security requirements, including internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce facility operating costs, enhance productivity, optimize space utilization, and support revenue-generating activities.
  • Develop annual operating budgets and long-range facilities plans, including construction, renovation, maintenance, asset renewal, and workplace modernization programs.
  • Lead strategic planning, site selection, and workplace design initiatives to support business growth, expansion, and organizational transformation.
  • Establish, negotiate, and manage contracts, service agreements, and vendor partnerships to optimize quality, service delivery, and cost effectiveness.
  • Standardize facility-related vendors, processes, and procurement practices across all locations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers to support current operations and future business initiatives.
  • Lead the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor facility performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence.
  • Determine organizational staffing requirements and oversee the recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, and retention of facilities personnel and contractors.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members through performance management, coaching, succession planning, recognition, and professional development initiatives.
  • Oversee the selection, governance, and performance management of outsourced service providers in partnership with Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership.
  • Ensure business continuity and emergency preparedness plans are established, maintained, and regularly tested across all facilities.
  • Support corporate sustainability initiatives through energy management, environmental stewardship, and resource optimization programs.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership by aligning facilities and infrastructure investments with organizational goals and long-term growth strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 14 to 18 years of which 10 years in the field of Facilities Management
  • Facilities related certification is an added advantage
  • Fundamental knowledge of building infrastructure maintenance and repair
  • Understanding of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Safety and Security related audit experience
  • Experience developing and managing budgets with strong financial skills
  • Proven ability of project and program management at scale with high level of execution and quality
  • Strong experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and departments to meet company goals and standards
  • Good working knowledge of applicable building regulations and codes
  • Strong knowledge of legal documentation, contract administration, and construction documents, including the ability to review, analyze, and negotiate terms and conditions.
