About this role

Southeastern Illinois College is seeking an experienced and strategic financial and administrative leader to serve as its Vice President of Administrative Services. As a member of the President’s Administrative Cabinet, the Vice President reports directly to the President and provides leadership and oversight for the College’s fiscal affairs, facilities and grounds, financial aid, auxiliary services, labor relations, risk management, and related administrative operations.


The Vice President of Administrative Services serves as a key institutional leader, providing timely financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance to the President and Board of Trustees. The position has significant responsibility for the College’s financial operations, including annual and long-term budget planning, accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, investments, tax levy preparation, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.


The position also provides leadership for the maintenance, care, and security of College facilities and grounds; oversees construction projects and facility master planning; manages risk management, insurance, workplace safety, and campus security; and supports emergency preparedness and response. The Vice President serves as the Treasurer for the Board of Trustees and participates in Board meetings as needed.


Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university, possess a CPA certification, and have at least five years of full-time experience in a major administrative position. Public higher education administrative experience and experience in a unionized or collective bargaining environment are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and service-oriented leader with the ability to build trust, develop others, solve problems, and effectively lead within a team environment.

Salary: $115,000 – $120,000 commensurate with experience, education, and relevant credentials.
