Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

The VIP Service Coordinator will be responsible for providing courteous and expedient service to all VIP guests. The VIP Service Coordinator serves as the guest personal contact prior to arrival, throughout guest stay and post departure. The VIP Service Coordinator works with many departments throughout the hotel to ensure requests are met in a timely manner and all aspects of the guests' stay are seamless.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides VIP Guest the highest quality of customer service in a fast, friendly and timely manner.
• Coordinates RSVP responses for mid to high-end customers' special events and necessary accommodations.
• Performs general duties including phone, and computer terminal data entry. Ensures initial guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough.
• Able to form positive relationships with guests.
• This position must possess skills as a problem solver in stressful situations as well as being task oriented with multiple responsibilities.
• Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Fontainebleau and encourages others to do the same.
• Adheres to all department/company policies and procedures.
• Maintains upbeatvip, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
• Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness.
• Perform concierge duties and other related duties as necessary or assigned.
• Standing or walking for long periods of time. Professional shoes in alignment with the front office/concierge grooming standards.

Qualifications

• • Requires knowledge of guest relations and problem solving to obtain ultimate guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment (i.e., computer, fax, and multi-line telephone system.) Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and guests.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Hotel experience preferred.

  WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in an office environment; and ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires mobility. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Ability to push and/or pull cabinet weighing up to fifteen pounds. Ability to reach twelve to twenty-four inches across counter space to hand and retrieve keys and paperwork. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Normal vision and hearing range.
