JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Finance will serve in a key matrix leadership role, supporting both the President of Oshkosh AeroTech and the Segment Chief Financial Officer for the Vocational segment. This leader will have overall responsibility for the AeroTech finance organization, leading approximately 50 finance team members across six international locations. The role is accountable for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Oshkosh Corporation policies, and the development and maintenance of a strong internal control environment.


The Vice President of Finance is a strategic business partner to the President and AeroTech leadership team, providing financial insight and leadership to drive business performance. The successful candidate will identify and implement strategies and actions to increase sales, earnings, and cash flow; actively participate in key business and strategic initiatives; and provide clear visibility to financial trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance to support effective decision-making and long-term profitable growth.


YOUR IMPACT:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct and coordinate financial planning, reporting and analysis functions for the segment.
  • Drive rigorous and transparent financial reporting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, closing process, and budgeting throughout the segment so optimal business decisions can be made.
  • Work with functional leads to develop the long-term strategic and financial plan.
  • Participate in the business unit staff meetings and other activities to support the president.
  • Ensure policies and procedures for the segment are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Oshkosh Corporation accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s internal controls, including SOX requirements.
  • Drive Improved cash flow.
  • Manage the preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Establish short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives.
  • Develop a highly effective and efficient team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business with strong accounting experience.
  • 15 plus years of experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA and Certified Public Accounting designation (CPA) are strongly desired.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Unquestioned ethics and a commitment to doing what’s right.
  • Track record of developing meaningful relationships at all levels within an organization, including as applicable, at both the segment and corporate levels, and a history of performing effectively in a matrixed reporting structure.
  • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost control principles, and accounting (financial and operational), including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, analysis and projections.
  • Experience preparing short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling forecasts, and product-line profitability analysis.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality work product within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Extensive experience working in a manufacturing company.
  • International experience or exposure to international markets.

Pay Range:

$189,800.00 - $370,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
