VP of People
AI Summary
The VP of People leads workforce planning, hiring, performance, compensation, and compliance across NymCard's markets, embedding AI into the People function while keeping the organisation lean and high-performing.
About this role
About NymCard
NymCard is a payments infrastructure company helping banks and financial institutions issue cards, move money, lend, settle, and manage financial crime through one platform: nCore.
We are a team of 150+ across multiple markets, operating in a regulated fintech environment. We move fast, use data to make decisions, and expect every function, including People, to work with AI as part of the day-to-day.
The Role
We are looking for a VP of People who can help NymCard scale with the right people, in the right roles, at the right cost.
You will work closely with senior leadership to shape workforce planning, organisation design, performance, leadership capability, hiring, culture and compliance across our markets.
You will be expected to keep the organisation lean, high-performing and compliant while helping the business grow faster than headcount.
What You’ll Do
- Own workforce planning with Finance, including headcount, hiring priorities, organisation design, leadership capability, succession, key-person risk and people metrics
- Lead hiring across all markets, including senior and confidential searches
- Own onboarding, hiring quality, performance cycles, calibration, career levelling, compensation and reward frameworks
- Embed practical AI use into the People function and help teams adopt AI in ways that improve productivity, decision-making and ways of working
- Own employment policy and people compliance across NymCard’s markets of operation, including UAE, KSA, Egypt, Pakistan and Lebanon
- Lead and grow a lean, high-impact People team
Must-Have
- 12+ years in HR, including at least 5 years leading a People function or major HR division
- Strong talent acquisition experience, including senior hiring, hiring process design and quality-of-hire measurement
- Strong experience in workforce planning, organisation design, and headcount budgeting
- Hands-on knowledge of UAE and KSA labour law
- Experience building or improving performance, levelling and reward frameworks
- Strong data skills and comfort using people analytics to make decisions
- Practical daily use of AI tools and a clear view on how AI changes HR
- Experience supporting a company through rapid growth, organisational change or restructuring
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, technology or another regulated sector, ideally within a CBUAE- or SAMA-regulated firm
- Working knowledge of another MEA market beyond UAE and KSA
