Summary

The warehouse associate ensures that all shipments and arrivals of material are done in accordance with transportation laws and requirements. The person will be responsible for completing proper documentation to ensure that the orders are on time and with the correct paperwork. Light machinery will be occasionally operated to produce finished products.

Responsabilities

The warehouse associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace environment.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks. Report all discrepancies and/or damages.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, lift, and organize materials.
• Weigh and verify all material being received against packing lists.
• Use XRF metal analyzer to identify alloy content when needed.
• Organize and maintain stockroom inventory; maintain proper inventory counts.
• Address and resolve issues related to inventory handling.
• Ensure parts and materials are available for upcoming deliveries.
• Pick and prepare orders for shipment; prepare shipping documentation properly.
• Register inventory receipts, inventory movements, and shipment picks in ERP.
• Building truck orders using Using floor scale to properly weight material. Use pallet banding equipment. Use pallet wrapping equipment (Staging).
• Identify pallets meeting customer specifications.
• Shipping of hazardous
• Assist in physical and cycle inventory counts.
• Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving reports.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, lift, and organize materials.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the shipping operations efficiency.
• Correctly and safely operate the production equipment.
• Ensure the work centers parameters are correct based on the process specifications.
• Check and maintain product quality according to product specifications.

Qualifiactions

The warehouse associate should possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Being fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• 1+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse. Certification is a plus.
• Willing to take the initiative and step up and do jobs as needed.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team which includes multi-tasking, flexibility, and adaptability with associates.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong mathematical skills of addition and subtraction and computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
• Must be able to pull and manipulate heavy charges from time to time.
• Hazardous material certification or the willingness, and ability to become certified.
