About this role
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including tool and equipment delivery, returns, repairs, inventory accuracy, and cleanliness. The role supervises assigned warehouse personnel, ensures all equipment is rent ready, and maintains accurate records. The Warehouse Lead supports the Warehouse Operations Manager in ensuring warehouse functions align with BECO’s mission of Unburdening Pence Companies and its Partners.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The following duties are representative of the job but are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Strategic Planning & Business Records
- Prepare pick tickets for jobsite deliveries and manage check-in/check-out of tools in ToolWatch
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, and tool retirements
- Support cycle count processes and inventory reconciliations
- Ensure repair logs and tool retirement records are kept up to date
- Crosstrain across warehouse functions to ensure operational continuity
Asset, Procurement & Storage Management
- Ensure all tools and equipment are rent ready
- Oversee tool/equipment maintenance, repair, and retirement processes
- Assist with managing fleet and equipment repairs
- Monitor and maintain an orderly and clean shop/yard environment
- Oversee accurate inventory of warehouse materials
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Assist in ensuring warehouse records align with billing and inventory systems
- Support the Warehouse Operations Manager in documenting damages and repair costs
- Help control costs through accurate tracking of tool usage and repairs
Customer & Partner Relationships
- Support field teams by preparing accurate deliveries and ensuring timely returns
- Assist third-party drivers in safe loading/unloading of deliveries
- Provide reliable and responsive service to project teams
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the job but are not all inclusive.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn warehouse and tracking software
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to safely load/unload trucks and lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to safety
