Warehouse Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Specialist to assist with unloading incoming deliveries, and loading outgoing trucks for local deliveries within a 100 mile radius of the greater St. Louis Metro area. This is a day shift position (6am-2:30pm), Monday through Friday, occasional overtime daily, No Weekends.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivering company products to customers in a courteous manner ensuring customer satisfaction and using time management skills to efficiently complete deliveries and pick-ups. Is able to carefully load and unload large and heavy products (windows and doors) to and from truck by hand, lifting up to 125lbs.

• Assist Drivers with delivering company products without deviation from the predetermined route.
• Advise Driver and or management of all vehicle or delivery problems as needed
• Assist drivers with inspecting vehicle daily and report any deficiencies to management
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, lifts, and carts to distribute and move product
  
• Complete scanning of all inventories; incoming (Receiving) to designated Warehouse locations and outgoing product to job sites.
• Complete all paperwork associated with delivery, noting discrepancies and collecting COD payment as required.
• Review all paperwork at the end of each shift with Operations Manager, Delivery Coordinator, or Warehouse Lead, and bring any discrepancies to his/her attention
• Load trucks as scheduled, securing all products and accessories in order to eliminate shipping damage and / or delivery errors
• Unload truck at site in accordance with all company policies and procedures
• Notify appropriate personnel immediately of any product damage, accidents or injuries
• Unload products from vendors and properly distribute products either to work-in-process or stock
  

• Assist Operations Dept. with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse following 5s procedures
• Other duties as needed

Skills/Knowledge

• Dependable and regular attendance
• Ability to load and unload large and heavy products (windows, doors, etc.) by hand, lifting up to 125lbs, assisting with 2-3 man deliveries pushing product up to 450lbs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to comply with all state, local, and federal regulations
• Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Adapts to changes in the work environment: Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly
