Warehouse Supervisor

Due to growth and investment in our people we are currently looking for a highly motivated, engaged and results focused Warehouse Spares Supervisor in Canton Ohio, USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee overall warehouse operations and daily management; coordinate work between the warehouse and other functional departments.

• Develop, revise, and implement warehouse operating procedures and management systems; continuously improve processes and standards.

• Create warehouse work plans and manage daily activities including receiving, inspection, storage, picking/kitting, machine shipments, and spare parts distribution.

• Evaluate warehouse staff performance to ensure operations are efficient, accurate, and well-organized.

• Optimize warehouse layout and storage utilization; maintain a clean, organized environment in compliance with 5S standards and EHS requirements.

• Organize and oversee inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy between physical stock, system records, and documentation; analyze discrepancies.

• Supervise the handling and disposition of non-conforming and slow-moving materials.

• Prepare and maintain warehouse reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of operational data.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

The Team

The Warehouse department is responsible for the receiving and quality checks of incoming goods. It is also responsible for the pre-picking of required parts for the Assembly and Construction departments as well as the replenishment of consumables in both departments. Additionally, the warehouse department is responsible for the shipping of finished spirals to customers. The warehouse is also responsible for the accurate and timely completion of spare parts orders daily.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills with proven people management experience.

• Strong planning, organizational, and execution abilities with effective control of warehouse operations.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

• Basic English reading and writing skills are a plus.

• Divide or adjust the available or required capacity based on planning

• Actively participate in planning and staff meetings

• Reviewing and approving daily timesheets of employees

• Track all part shortages and communicate via shared spreadsheets

• Collaborate with the shipment coordinator for all incoming and outgoing shipments

• Responsible for the quality and timeliness of the final product

• responsible for the cleanliness and safety at the workshop and performance of the work according to the quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as 5S

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position within manufacturing or technical industry

• Prior experience in a warehouse environment

• Have good experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Additional logistic courses and/or training preferred

• OSCE training, Fork-lift truck, Lifting certification preferred
