Warehouse Worker Part Time

Summary:

Busy newspaper warehouse and mailroom position. We are looking for a self-starter and quick learner to join our team helping to get our local newspapers into the hands of our readers.

We have openings for both a day shift starting around 8:00 AM (+/-) and a night shift running from 5:15 PM up to 2:30 AM (Saturday start time ~4:30 PM). A flexible schedule is required for both options.

What you will do:

• Feed inserts into our SLS 2000 insert machine

• Take bundled newspapers off of our Quipp stacking machines and place on skids

• Shrink wrap skids and stage for delivery

• Light maintenance

• Reports to mailroom supervisors and or manager

• Help Supervisor with loading and unloading truck of inserts

• Assist logging inserts into Web Exchange program

• Clean up after shift

What you will bring:

• Able to operate a forklift and or motorized pallet jack to move materials within the warehouse

• Good mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and work with machinery and equipment

• Attention to detail, accuracy and precision in handling materials and documentation

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the work day

Benefits and Compensation:

The hourly range is $12.00 - $15.00+ one time sign on bonus.
