The Worship Leader will report to the Senior Director of Worship.
Job Overview: The Worship Leader will contribute to Worship at Hill City by leading worship on Sundays, spiritually shepherding Worship and Production team members, and contributing to the development of Worship team members. This person will contribute to the vision and mission of the worship ministry with the leadership of the senior director of worship.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
TIME COMMITMENT: 10 hours bi-weekly
GATHERINGS:
- Lead worship 28 Sundays a year
- Provide Sunday feedback and collaboration with Senior Director of Worship
- Pray over gatherings flow
- Spend time practicing and preparing for gatherings
- Participate in major Sundays and other events as defined by Senior Director of Worship
SALT:
- Lead worship at Salt Kick-off, Fall Conference, and other midweeks as needed
DEVELOPMENT AND SPIRITUAL SHEPHERDING:
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Worship on providing developmental opportunities for Worship and Production team members
- Provide care and prayer for Worship and Production team members as appropriate and as needed
- Bi-weekly calls with female CVO worship leaders
- Assist in the planning and implementation of worship team events (as needed)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Devoted follower of Jesus
- High capacity leadership capabilities (specifically worship leadership)
- Strong vocal proficiency (ability to lead songs, sing and teach harmonies)
- 5+ years of experience leading worship in a church context
- Hill City covenant member
- An ability to receive feedback well
- Working knowledge of music theory
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A heart for college students
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Planning Center Online, and Pro Presenter
