Yard Hopper - Day Shift

Overview

Up-North Plastics, a leading manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a Yard Hopper at its Cottage Grove, MN location. The Yard Hopper works on a 12 hour 6AM-6PM day shift, working 3 days one week and 4 days the next. A successful candidate must be able to operate a Yard Jockey Truck, a Forklift, inventory control software, and RF scanners.

***STARTING PAY OF $19.00-$22.00***

Qualifications

• Experience driving commercial trucks or yard mules.
• A current US Driver's license (CDL not required).
• The ability to handle trailers quickly in tight spaces.
• The ability to operate forklifts.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

Yard Hoppers at Up North Plastics are responsible for relocating, docking, and transporting trailers within our manufacturing facility. They are also responsible for unloading materials from trailers, inventorying materials, and picking materials. They must be able to keep up with a fast paced production environment while accurately recording information. This position uses propane, sit-down forklifts to help load and unload trailers as well as a Yard Jockey to move around trailers. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
