2027 Co-Op Program

Purpose

The LPX Group Co-Op Program provides university students with full-semester, academic-credit work experience across construction field and office operations. Co-op students contribute to active projects while developing technical, professional, and leadership skills through structured assignments, mentorship, training, and an end-of-rotation Leadership Briefing.

Education and Experience (Required)

• Enrolled at an accredited university with a formal co-op program that awards academic credit for work placements.
• University must be willing to designate LPX Group as the co-op employer of record for the rotation.
• Available for a full semester rotation of approximately 15–18 weeks during fall, spring, or summer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to work at jobsites or in field conditions when assigned.
  

Education and Experience (Preferred)

• Pursuing Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or another program relevant to LPX Group operations.
• Prior construction, engineering, project, field, office, volunteer, or leadership experience.
• General understanding of heavy civil construction and interest in completing multiple rotations with LPX Group.
  

Program Details and Compensation

• Temporary co-op rotation lasting approximately 15–18 weeks.
• Eligible co-op students may receive reimbursement for actual documented educational expenses, including co-op tuition credits, under the applicable rotation tier. Temporary co-op students are not eligible for healthcare, 401(k), PTO, or paid holidays.

• Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and apply learning throughout the rotation.

LPX Group Co-Op Responsibilities

• Perform departmental, office, field, plant, or project assignments based on academic background and program placement.
• Support work in estimating, construction engineering, project management, safety, marketing, finance, or Team Member Services and Talent Development.
• Assist Team Members with project coordination, research, schedules, reports, documentation, and other duties assigned.
• Participate in cohort orientation, applicable safety training, professional development workshops, and in-house training.
• Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and jobsite procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, files, progress updates, and assigned work products.
• Participate in the LPX Community Build Day and other scheduled cohort activities.
• Work with an assigned mentor and supervisor; participate in mid-rotation feedback and performance discussions.
• Prepare and deliver an end-of-rotation Leadership Briefing summarizing assignments, key learnings, feedback, and career goals.
