2027 Internship Program

Purpose

The LPX Group Internship Program provides students with hands-on experience across construction field and office operations. Interns work alongside experienced Team Members, complete meaningful assignments, and participate in mentorship, training, professional development, community engagement, and an end-of-term Leadership Briefing.

Education and Experience (Required)

• Enrolled in or accepted to an accredited four-year college or university; a high school senior planning to enter a qualifying four-year program; or enrolled in an accredited AAS, diploma, certificate, or registered apprenticeship program.
• Available for a full 10–12 week summer commitment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to work in office, field, shop, plant, or project-site conditions based on placement.
  

Education and Experience (Preferred)

• Program of study related to engineering, construction management, business, finance, human resources, marketing, environmental science, technology, industrial maintenance, welding, or the skilled trades.
• Prior construction, field, office, volunteer, or leadership experience.
• General understanding of the construction industry and interest in a career with LPX Group.
  

Program Details and Compensation

• Temporary summer internship lasting approximately 10–12 weeks.
• Eligible interns may receive education assistance for actual documented expenses under the applicable program tier. Temporary interns are not eligible for healthcare, 401(k), PTO, or paid holidays.

• Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn from experienced Team Members.

LPX Group Intern Responsibilities

• Perform departmental, office, field, shop, plant, or project assignments based on program placement.
• Support work in estimating, construction engineering, project management, safety, marketing, finance, human resources, materials testing, or field and craft operations.
• Assist Team Members with project tasks, research, documentation, reports, and other duties assigned.
• Participate in cohort orientation, applicable safety training, professional development workshops, and in-house training.
• Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and jobsite procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, files, progress updates, and assigned work products.
• Participate in the LPX Community Build Day and other scheduled cohort activities.
• Work with an assigned mentor and supervisor; participate in feedback and performance discussions.
• Prepare and deliver an end-of-term Leadership Briefing summarizing assignments, key learnings, feedback, and career goals.
