ERMCO is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Summer Interns to join our team for the summer of 2027. The ERMCO Internship Program is designed to provide students with meaningful, real-world experience in the electrical construction industry through a variety of office and field-based opportunities. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to areas such as project management, virtual design and construction (VDC), estimating, preconstruction, automation, design-build, and field operations. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and participation in active projects, interns will develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of electrical construction, project execution, and industry best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist project managers, VDC engineers, and/or estimators with day-to-day project tasks
• Support project planning, coordination, and execution efforts as assigned.
• Review construction drawings and project specifications
• Support cost estimating and quantity take-offs for bids and proposals
• Participate in job site visits to observe construction practices and safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals and deadlines
• Learn and apply construction software and tools in the construction industry
• Develop an understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, systems, and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, ask questions, and learn new processes.
• Genuine interest in learning about the business and management side of electrical construction.
