2027 Summer News Internship

You will perform general assignment and beat reporting and write in-depth analytical pieces under supervision. You will research and write news stories and features for assigned publication(s), including beat reporting, with supervision.

You need to have:

• Three published news clips. Do not submit with your application. We will ask for them during initial screening.

• A drive to produce great journalism.

• Ability to pitch and write both breaking and enterprise stories.

• Desire to interview industry leaders and policymakers.

• Willingness to collaborate with our team of reporters and editors.

• At the start of Summer 2027, completed at least three years of an undergraduate program (i.e., a rising senior), just graduated from your college or university, or be enrolled in a graduate journalism program.

• Prior experience in journalism, including campus media.

• Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure.
