2626 Electrician

Join our Auckland team as an Electrician and keep buildings safe by maintaining essential emergency lighting systems.

• Maintain and repair emergency lighting systems across a range of Auckland sites
• Diagnose faults and ensure compliance with AS/NZS 2293.1 standards
• Deliver reliable, high-quality work as part of a supportive fire protection team

About the Position

Emergency lighting saves lives when power fails, and you will be the expert keeping these critical systems working across Auckland’s buildings.

This is a hands-on, steady role focused on emergency lighting remedial work across a variety of sites, from small businesses to large multi-storey complexes. While the work is repetitive, the environments vary, and there may also be opportunities to work on fire alarm systems.

If you prefer structured work, clear expectations, and becoming highly skilled in a specialist compliance area, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Repairing and replacing emergency lighting systems
• Diagnosing faults and completing remedial work
• Occasional fire alarm panel wiring (230V)

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• An EWRB registration & full NZ driver licence
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 2293.1
• At least 3 years’ NZ electrical experience
• Confidence working at heights
• Strong organisation, time management & customer service skills
