You will be joining our service team covering the greater Wellington region, completing service and installation work.

These are full-time positions with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. We provide our customers with 24/7 callout support.


The nature of the work involves keeping cool under pressure and thinking on your feet to problem solve. Your positive attitude, effective communication skills and sense of humour will help you to get along with customers and the team.


The role involves servicing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems. You will bring fault finding skills to the role. From time to time, you may be requested to assist our other branches in the Lower North Island.

In order to hit the ground running, you will need to bring at least 5 years’ experience “on the tools” as a sprinkler technician and ideally you will hold NZQA Fixed Fire Systems L4.


You will hold a full valid NZ Driver Licence and have a good knowledge of NZ Sprinkler Standards.

Your role will include, but not be limited to:


  • Inspection, testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
    • Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification of sprinkler system defects.
    • Minor installation, alteration and upgrade works.
    • Providing technical support and advice to customers on site.
    • Preparing service documentation and compliance records.
    • Participating in a rostered after-hours callout service.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience as a sprinkler technician, with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience.
    • NZQA Fixed Fire Systems Level 4 qualification (preferred) or a commitment to achieving it.
    • Strong working knowledge of NZS 4541, sprinkler system compliance and industry best practice.
    • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    • A professional approach with strong communication and customer relationship skills.
    • A clean, full New Zealand driver licence.
    • The ability to work safely at heights.
    • A clean criminal history and the ability to pass pre-employment screening.
