The role
Based in our Wellington branch, you will carry out prescribed electrical work across a range of customer sites, with a primary focus on Emergency Lighting systems and an opportunity to develop specialist capability in Fire Alarm installation, servicing and remedial work.
This role would suit someone who already has solid electrical experience and is ready to broaden their skill set into the fire protection industry. Fire Alarm experience would be an advantage, but what matters most is that you are motivated to learn, take pride in quality workmanship, and understand the importance of getting life safety work right.
On a day-to-day basis, you will complete new electrical connections, emergency lighting remedial work, servicing tasks, fault finding, and installation support. You will work both independently and as part of a close-knit team, supported by modern systems, company technology and experienced people around you.
- A current EWRB practising licence and NZ electrical registration
- At least three years’ experience as a qualified electrician, ideally with service experience
- Strong understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 2293 and New Zealand electrical regulations
- A full New Zealand driver licence
- Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally on site
- A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right first time
- Fire Alarm or Emergency Lighting experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
