About the Role

As an Account Manager (Maritime) within our EMEA Mid-market Sales team, you will play a central role in driving revenue expansion across existing client accounts in the Middle East & Africa. You will act as a trusted commercial partner, ensuring our maritime and commodity clients maximize the value of Kpler’s platform while identifying high-impact upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Positioned in Dubai, this role bridges customer success, strategic forecasting, and market intelligence gathering to elevate Kpler’s brand presence across a key regional hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Manage and grow a dedicated account portfolio across Middle East & Africa to consistently meet or exceed annual retention and expansion targets.

  • Identify Opportunity Pipelines: Proactively uncover, qualify, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by deeply understanding client workflows.

  • Commercial Strategy & Planning: Serve as a strategic partner supporting demand forecasting, budgeting, multi-year account planning, and commercial reporting.

  • Gather Market & Competitor Intelligence: Capture actionable product feedback and competitor intelligence directly from client interactions to inform regional strategy and product roadmaps.

  • Negotiate & Secure Agreements: Lead contract renewal negotiations to secure long-term, profitable agreements that align with corporate policies and commercial goals.

  • CRM & Forecast Discipline: Maintain accurate account records, engagement logs, and sales forecasting within the CRM system to support transparent cross-functional visibility.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product units to deliver exceptional value and advocacy across client accounts.

  • Experience & Background

    What you'll need (Must-haves)

    • Commercial Track Record: At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or commercial growth roles.

    • SaaS/Data Vendor Background: Proven background working within technology, SaaS, or data intelligence vendors.

    • Relationship & Negotiation Mastery: Proven ability to build trusted client relationships, navigate commercial renewals, and close upsell deals.

    • Language Proficiency: Fluency in professional business English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

    • Nice-to-haves

      • Domain Expertise: Prior knowledge or experience in the maritime, shipping, or commodities markets.

      • Modern Sales Stack: Familiarity with modern commercial tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

      • Additional Languages: Conversational or professional fluency in Arabic or French.
