Your responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts and validate journal entries to ensure the general ledger remains accurate and complete.
• Analyze financial information and prepare accounting reports, statements, regulatory filings, and financial schedules.
• Provide accounting expertise and advice on accounting-related matters to stakeholders across the business.
• Participate in daily operational finance and cash management activities.
• Collaborate with Business Finance and key stakeholders to support financial reporting and decision-making.
• Contribute to global development projects covering process workflows, quality, compliance, and process improvements.
• Identify gaps in finance solutions and support change management initiatives.
• Manage bank accounts and related financial accounting and reporting activities.
• Oversee inbound and outbound payment processing, daily bank statement handling, exchange rate validation, and cash forecasting.
• Support period-end closing activities, valuations, reconciliations, balance sheet specifications, system administration, master data maintenance, and treasury policy implementation.

Expectations from you

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, or cash management.
• Strong expertise in cash management processes and practices.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a recognized accounting qualification.
• Experience working with tools such as Infor LN, M3, and Nomentia Cash Management.
• Experience in financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and period-end closing activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics effectively.
• Ability to identify critical process issues and drive resolution across teams and functions.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Understanding of Valmet's business model and ways of working is considered beneficial.
