What is the essence of the role?

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing, classifying, and accurately recording company expenses and financial transactions in a timely manner. You will verify invoices and supporting documentation, assign the appropriate accounting and analytical information—such as cost center, business owner, and budget owner—make any necessary adjustments, and post transactions to the accounting system.

This role is suitable for someone who likes routine tasks but is also open for innovation and change.

What will your job look like?

• Reviewing invoices, expense reports, card payments, advances and other financial transactions
• Verifying the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents
• Assigning the correct accounting category and analytical dimensions
• Making necessary corrections before posting
• Posting transactions accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Making bulk and single bank payments
• Identifying and following up on missing or inconsistent information
• Reconciling processed transactions and investigating discrepancies
• Maintaining control over outstanding items
• Suggesting simple improvements to recurring tasks and checks

What do you need to be successful?

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year accounting experience according to the Bulgarian accounting standards
• Solid base of practical accounting knowledge
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems, expense management platforms, and cost centres or other analytical dimensions is an advantage.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel – reports, pivot tables, formula knowledge
• Strong logical thinking, accuracy, strong attention to detail, and reliability
• Ability to work efficiently with structured, repetitive tasks while meeting deadlines
• Early adopter for new systems and processes, with an interest in improving routine work
• Good command in English is an absolute must
