What is the essence of the role?
Joining us as an International Еvent Мanagement Intern, you will be responsible for helping the project management team of the MERIT Summit. MERIT is an international conference, a boutique event that brings together international Business Schools and Human Resources professionals from different industries to share insights, challenges and success stories in the corporate learning, leadership, and people development realm. The summit takes place twice per year and the next one will happen on 28-29 January, 2027 Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The internship is for a period of 6 months. We are flexible to hire either a full-time or part-time intern.
What will your job look like?
- Sourcing potential applicants for the MERIT Awards and contacting potential delegates (HR Directors and C-level executives) via LinkedIn and other channels
- Collaborating with IT, Design and Editorial teams to ensure timely support and delivery
- Updating the existing database to ensure accuracy and efficiency in communications
- Administering and developing the MERIT Facebook page to increase engagement and visibility and regularly updating website content
- Conducting competitor benchmarking and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Designing marketing materials in Canva, aligned with brand and promotional goals
- Supporting the team with the organization and logistics of the upcoming MERIT Summit
What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree (could be in progress) in a relevant subject - Marketing, PR and Communications, Philology or Journalism, etc.
- Advanced computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Proficiency in Canva
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Dedicated team spirit, thriving in a dynamic environment
- Readiness to learn and develop professionally
- Fluent oral and written English is essential
