Accounting Clerk - Central Automotive Group

Central Automotive Group is an established group of automotive dealerships based out of Houston, TX.

We are looking for a talented, experienced staff accountant to join our team at Central Houston Nissan. This person would start off on the cash receipts desk and learn other aspects of the accounting office as time progresses and shows mastery of these skills.

Responsibilities:

• Post cash deposits and credit card payments daily from multiple stores
• Work with the service, parts and sales departments on reconciling items and any follow ups needed
• Ensure required form 8300s are obtained and filed timely
• Reconcile the maintenance payments and ensure receiving payments on time
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive experience is not required.
