Job Summary:
The Parts Counter primary duty is to order and sell a variety of vehicle parts and accessories.
Supervisory Responsibilities - None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and respond to questions and requests about parts.·
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure parts are available or ordered promptly when needed.
- Receive, unpack, log and store parts.
- Track inventory and input items into the company log to ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Assist customers in determining what parts they need.
- Process payments and returns when necessary.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Possess mechanical and auto parts knowledge.
- Ability to understand sales training and new product information.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Punctual, reliable and must have good communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reynolds & Reynolds knowledge is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
